Chicago Artists Resource (CAR) is a program of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.

CAR was developed in 2005 to describe "the landscape of opportunity for Chicago artists working in Dance, Music, Theater and Visual Arts through a unique combination of:"

• an artist-curated resource directory
• links to local and national organizations
• articles from the New York Foundation for the Arts; UIC Center for Health in the Arts; GYST, Ink, and Ann Daley Consulting;
• and the voices, artwork and experiences of Chicago artists.
